“ We pulled into bos. Restaurant & Bar not quite knowing what to expect, but by the time we left, we were completely sold. Even before we got there, the day already felt enchanted—on the road through Marloth, we were greeted by elephants, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and antelope. It felt like the bush was welcoming us in its own wild way. bos. is tucked away inside the Bush Centre in Marloth Park, next to a quirky little waterpark and a pool where kids were splashing around while grown-ups were sipping G&Ts and ice cold BEER. That’s the kind of place this is—laid-back, lekker, and full of life. Logan was on stage, the music was flowing, and honestly? The vibe was just right. Not too loud, not too quiet—just that perfect mix of background laughter, clinking glasses, and songs that settle into your skin. And then we ate. We didn’t stick to one thing—we sampled our way through the menu. From proper juicy burgers to flame-kissed pizza and generous platters, everything was on point. But the calamari and squid? That was the standout for me. Tender, flavour-packed, not a hint of rubber in sight. Just yes. Then came this blik bosveld kettle—I kid you not—filled with ice cream and some kind of mystery liqueur. I didn’t even ask what was in it. I just knew it was cold, creamy, and ridiculously moreish. The place itself is the kind of spot that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The pool glistens in the background, there's always something happening at the bar, and everyone’s just... happy. The kind of happy you don’t fake. The owners, Morné and Danie, have really done something special here. You can feel it in the way the staff chat to you, in how the food comes out with care, and in the fact that no one’s in a rush—because why would you be? bos. isn’t a restaurant you “pop in” to. It’s a place you lean into. You let the day melt away. You listen to live music. You order dessert in a kettle. And you leave with a full heart and maybe just a tiny bit of bushveld magic clinging to your shirt. ”

Morné and Danie me and my wife would like to give a HUGE THANKS for our liquor for our honeymoon. You guys rock. Definitely the best restaurant in Marloth... ”
